About Me

I began teaching in 2000 and have had a range of experiences from different school systems, states and grade levels.  My training has been in K-6 General Education, Assured Readiness for Learning, Renaissance Learning, ELL, Thinking Maps, Kagan, and Clinical Education.  Currently, I am working on becoming certified in Whole Brain Teaching.  As a teacher, I have high expectations of my students.  Through my experiences, I acknowledge that all students thrive on an active and engaging learning climate.  It is my duty as their teacher to connect and expand their learning to the natural world around them.
